Christs Hospital School, Horsham

This was a freebie in aid of some people doing a sponsored run for cancer charity, I believe.  What an amazing place it is - huge grounds.  And we had a sunny day.   Gary and I weren't expecting to end up on the stage on the cricket pitch, but we managed about 40 minutes.  Next time I think we'd better take a drummer and a horn as we were rather lonely on the stage!!  Thought we'd be put on a small lawn, somewhere quiet!

Hare and Hounds!

Really enjoyed this gig.  Haven't sung there for many months, since starting the Chi jazz course.  Re-discovered I really do enjoy singing as much as playing the keyboard!  Thanks to the regulars for sticking with me - lovely to see you all again.  Thanks also to Malcolm Cliff, Godfrey Shepherd and Cookie Jones who made it so easy for me!!  And to the Hare and Hound management of course, who keep the jazz scene going.

Coach and Horses

Nice group of people at the Coach for Alex and me.  Thanks for your support in this new venture.  Back there on 27th June which pretty much coincides with my last week at college before the hols.  Assuming we decide to return from the Big Band trip to France!

Good gig at Barneys; had to use a different keyboard, so that was fun!  Mike has to set it up so means less carting for me!

Had another good one at Barneys on Saturday 25th May.  There are nearly always jazz gigs there on Saturday evenings, hosted by Mike Pappenheim.

Cracking gig at Barneys!

Have just got home from a really cracking gig at Barneys!  Me on vocals and keyboards with Lightnin' Mike and the boys!  Someone's gone and bought some jazz recordings to play in the intervals too - so it's a real jazz evening every Saturday at Barneys in Portland Road.  I'm back in a fortnight, but there's always jazz there on Saturdays.  Come along and have a meal.  Comfy chairs - the lot!

Honeywood Lane Acoustic Club, Oakwood Hill, Horsham area

Had a lovely gig slot with Gary Holder in a smart Village Hall on Friday.  Free entry and a pub just a few hundred yards up the road.  Although you can bring your own drinks or have tea/coffee and chocky bics in the hall.  If you like acoustic music then have a look at Gary's website on  as Gary has a few acoustic clubs scattered around the Worthing to Horsham area and is always looking for keen, new players and bands.

Coach and Horses, Worthing

Alex and I had a really good time at the Coach (21 March 2013) - it's a lovely pub/restaurant run by Nick and Beryl who made us very welcome.  We hope this will be a monthly event so check here or on the Coach website for details.  This was our first outing as a jazz duo.  Hoping to see you there - we would love to build up a following, as it's the kind of venue where I can see people meeting for dinner / chat.....
